As far as bowling goes, Western Bowl is a great place to go. They have cheap prices, decent food, and their set up isn't tacky. They're not retro, but they aren't modern either. They strike a perfect balance between the two and avoid the gaudiness that plagues so many modern bowling alleys.
I've been on a bowling league here the past 11 weeks and it has been a lot of fun. The manager or owner Tom is a really nice guy and all the other staff are very helpful. I love the food. the prices are really affordable with cheeseburgers starting at 250 and fries at $2. Try the barbecue sandwich for $4. It's all your typical fried food but it's done really well and not overpriced.
They can be family friendly while also catering to a college age group and older crowds. Some particularly nice deals they have currently is on Mondays and Tuesdays, 9 p.m. -12 a.m. you can bowl all you want for $10. It's usually not too crowded then.

We bowl here on a Saturday night mixed league. The upgrades from last year are still in amazing shape, the staff is outstanding. It is so great I even recommended it to my boss for a work outing!!
I worked at this bowling center for two years and it was a great experience! I still bowl two leagues here. Shot my highest series at this place!
