I must apologize to Hoffman Weber for my previous post. After learning that the issues occurring have been mostly due to the insurance company adjusters and communication issues within the insurance company. I look forward to working with Hoffman Weber on finishing my home.
I hired Hoffman Weber to fix my house after the storm. I had several questions how the insurance process worked and they helped me get everything needed from my insurance company. They helped me with the supplement process to ensure everything was covered even after the insurance company would not cover certain things. It did take some time for the supplement process but this seems standard. Hoffman Weber is great at what they do and would recommend them.
I think Hoffman Weber is way overrated for a contractor. We had HW come to our home put new shingles on, redo siding and shutters on. Upon taking off all of the shingles they were supposed to tarp our Deck and flower beds. We let the contractor know we would be gone for the day made a suprise stop at home just to see how they were doing, they did not cover the deck. And the deck was covered with shingles,tar paper and nails as stated in the contract that they would cover with a tarp HW refuse to take care of any of the damages done to the deck or furniture. And had to come out multiple times to rehang the shutters. I had a $1,500 deductible for my insurance HW wanted to be paid for that, I said Not until the damages to my deck can be straightened out they said "fine we'll just put a construction lien against your house" so instead of taking care of things the correct way they just ran and put a construction lien against my home and will not pay for damages done to my home. The salesman did not like the point that I shared my experience with my neighbor , his son plays football my house and my son's play football at their house and don't like nails in my yard and he has a ton of landscaping around his house and the head HW rep was very aggressively speaking towards my wife when she handled this because I was too upset and pissed off about the damages is done.
I must be the odd man out. In my experience, HW over-promised and under-delivered. I contracted for a new roof in early August, was verbally assured the work would be done in late September and had to wait until early November for the install. A month later, I am still waiting for a final inspection and invoice. Sad.
Hoffman Weber was one of the best companies I've ever worked with. They explained things to me and there were no surprises. If I had any questions, they'd get back to me immediately with the response. When my insurance company had questions, they talked directly to them as appropriate. I would recommend them to my closest family knowing they would be well taken care of. There's only 5 stars but I would give them a 10.
