This is where I went to smoke my first bowl of weed- I was with a group of friends (one lived in the neighborhood) and we swooced down around 2:00 in the morning- I have never been as high as I was that evening ever again, and I am convinced it was because of atmosphere- Anywhore; The forest is a great bit of land to visit as long as you are with a neighborhood resident. MOUNTAIN LIONS BEEN SPOTTED- BRING A GUN NO SMALLER THAN 30-30
This forest is so much fun! I walked with a mate of mine down to the Elkhorn River. It was a good time because most of the wildlife didn't care about our presence. We had a female deer walk no closer than 15 yards from us; we were practically able to pet her. Skeptical about getting closer, we attempted to advance but she decided to turn and sprint away. I thought it was odd she decided to run without paying much attention to us, rather something from behind. With closer examination of what was behind me, I spotted a red fox sprinting adjacent to us, going south towards the deer. That moment was one of many experiences I've had with wildlife down in the forest. It's a great place to run off to and spend an hour or maybe a day, but don't stay too long......
