The staff was great. They were very understanding of my concerns and stopped to explain processes to me. The only reason it got 4 and not 5 was the wait time. I know in an er you will be there longer but it took hours for a doctor to even come in and evaluate the situation.
Great doctors good at what they do. Bed side manner is few and far between. They schedule you all over the place making any want from out of town to seriously struggle. Getting to and from appointments is a hassel the times they have you come arw inopportune to put it lightly. You would think traveling 3 hours for there all but forced surery they would schedule the nine appointments in an orderly fashion.
Horrible place...long waits, missed diagnoses amd condescending attitide toward parents. Hate this place would rather be at killer creighton and thats saying alot
What a terrible experience we had with our 18month old. She needed stitches in her lip. We were referred to Children's because of her age and the location of the split we were told sedation would be best. Well, in 2 hours we saw 6 different nurses, 2 different doctors, and when it came time for the stitches, one doctor came in and expected my husband and I to hold her down. She was thrashing around, he had to redo the stitches twice. When I asked about sedation, he said no and moved on. I had to ASK for a nurse to come in and help. Pretty sure she wasn't numb either. The put a gel on her lip but she just sucked it off. The nurses were nice (all 6 of them), which is why there is more than 1 star. There was NO consistency and I am wildly upset that my daughter was coughing up blood and bleeding so badly and this doctor, Dr.James Scott, still would not consider sedation.
Staff went truly above and beyond and were so good with our 2 month old. Super professional and caring and focused on our baby's well being.
