We went for a quick one night stay with the primary reason of using the hotel pool for our kids. The pictures made it look like a decent sized pool especially for a hotel and it was. The only downside is the majority of the pool was 5-6 ft deep and it was a quick slope down. It worked pretty well for our 9 year old who has just learned how to swim, but our little two year old twins didn't have as much space in the 3 foot section. It wasn't too bad, but with just a few other hotel guests it could get crowded. And even though it was heated it was awfully cold. We also ate at the restaurant in the hotel. The kids meals were bigger than expected - came with fries and fruit! Kids loved it and the adults even thought it all looked/smelled good. Adults all got bacon cheeseburgers. They were delicious. Overall the hotel was clean and staff was great.
Location was excellent. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Customer service was excellent overall with one exception. Only issue was the phone did not work and they could not seen to get it fixed. Sent people multiple times but it never worked.
This is an older hotel that is/has been recently refurbished. While the rooms are a bit tight, they are very nice. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful as well.
Stayed here over a weekend. Rooms were nice. I thought the bathroom was great. Overall pretty quiet. The hotel bar seemed to be steady. The front desk staff were great. Pretty good location. Only complaint was the cleaning lady was an arse. I extended my checkout to 2 pm because I stayed out all night and came back in late in the morning. Even though I had the extension and the sign that says do not disturb out on the door, she still tried to get in room. Then right at 2 pm, as I am finishing packing, she tries coming in again. I tell her to give me 2 minutes, and she starts jabbering about how I wasn't here all night, and something about how she didn't know what was going on. I just grabbed what I thought was the remainder of my stuff and left. Consequently I am 99% sure I left my phone charger in the room, and when I called about it they said nobody found anything...
The bed duvet and pillows were so cozy. Bathroom was redone and so classy. Buffet breakfast was tasty and affordable. Hot tub was closed for maintenance otherwise 5 stars.
