Overall, I would say this was an average move, I was disappointed in a few things but I was also prepared for not everything to go perfectly... cross country moves have a lot of moving pieces. I think Daniels needs better maintenance on their vehicles and better logistical management of the loads and scheduling.
1. Truck apparently broke down on the day of my move resulting in a 2.5 hour delay. When they did arrive, the crew was hard working and completed the load up quickly and without incident. One issue was that no one laid out protection for my floors. I didn't realize it until they were almost finished. This should be mandatory.

3. Because of the above 2 issues, my items were loaded and unloaded 3 times resulting in damage and unnecessary wear and tear.
I decided to use Daniels/Atlas mostly because of Tony Marchant. He is an excellent representative for the company and was exceptional to work with on my move.
We have had some poor to scary moves in Omaha over the years. Daniel's did everything that they could possibly due to remove any anxiety regarding this go around. From the start, Tony was on point in making sure the process was efficient and that we felt comfortable. The movers were professional, courteous, beyond helpful and on task. Everything was moved with care and to be sure, they still kept with a food pace and schedule. I will recommend Daniel's over and over again and will not use another group for any move in the future.
They were referred to us by our real estate company as they just became a "preferred" moving company with them. We had 2 weeks to move from a 4400 sq ft home to a 3000 sq ft home 20 miles away. Tom Marchant came to the house and took note of all items to be moved. The bid came back as reasonable and fair. Tom stayed in contact with us throughout the move. Six movers came out on a Thursday, loaded their trucks in about 5 hours. As we weren't closing on our new house until that Friday, they stored our items overnight and were right on time to unload. This went very smooth and I actually changed my mind on a couple furniture piece placements and they moved them for me with no complaints. No damage was found. We had a separate U-Haul for odds and ends and after their trucks were loaded, they offered to help us. I highly recommend Daniel's Moving. Very polite and courteous guys.
Do NOT use Daniel's Moving & Storage in Omaha. We have moved several times all over the country with other moving companies, and this was by far the most stressful, unprofessional, and poorly executed move we have ever experienced. Too many details to go into right now, but I will update this post later. For now, I will caution...do not use their packing service, do not store your belongings in their warehouse, and certainly do not expect professional treatment or honesty from their operations staff. We chose Daniel's because of Tony Marchant, and I have to say that Tony is an asset to the company. He was respectful and responsive and tried to give us the best deal he could. It is unfortunate that the operations side of the company could not back up his excellent customer service. Let me be clear also that this is not a complaint about Atlas Van Lines. Our driver, Scott, was excellent. However, with regard to Daniel's, our belongings have never been treated with such disrespect and lack of care. Sadly, this reflects poorly on Atlas because they contract with Daniel's. We will not use either company again, regardless of location.
2. Upon delivery, I communicated with the driver in regards to an unloading time. Because there were issues with another load and where mine was on the truck, the driver called somewhat frantic to try to unload early. This wasn't possible as I wasn't getting the keys to my new house for a few hours.
We moved from Midwest to East coast end of Sept. Mr. Tony Marchant is very professional and very pleasant to work with. His bid was better than other bids and the actual price was better than we expected. We were in a very tight schedule so they had 9 crew packed up and loaded the truck on the same day. We changed mind on the placement of furniture a few times but the crew didn't mind. They also carefully put down the protection on the wood floor and traffic area before unloading. Tony followed up all the way through during and after the move. I would highly recommend Mr. Tony Marchant for your representative at Daniel's Moving & Storage.
