I love TJ Maxx and visit any chance I get in any states I'm traveling. This one was exceptionally organized, too. Even better.
This is a new store so it is clean, bright, and nice. However, it is smaller and they have less items because the two stores are combined. But it is nice to have these stores in West O.
This door had a lot more options than most TJ Maxx stores I have been in before. The staff was well-informed helpful and friendly. I look forward to coming to this location again for more shopping.
Some prices are outstanding. Others... Meh. Usually pretty organized though.
We just purchased a new house so I was looking for pieces to furnish my bedroom with. I bought a velvet plush throw but, once home, found it clashed with my decor. I had cut the ribbon and tag off but the UPC was still intact. I should've known better but I thought that the fact that I had bought it less than twenty four hours ago and had the original receipt would suffice for a return. The cashier was friendly but when the brunette manager came over to authorize the return, she rudely told me that I could not return the item because it was too worn (I had laid the blanket out on my bed for a few minutes and then folded it up to return the next day). She also proceeded to tell me she needed to look up the item in the store because she highly doubted "it would have that much wear" if it was really purchased a day ago. The only sign of use was a stray black dog hair on the throw. She questioned my integrity and basically insinuated that I was committing fraud by returning a used item with a new receipt (mind you, my husband is a police officer and I would never be so dishonest). I'm amenable to being denied a return (I understand the store loses money on these items) but the fact that she could not point out a stain and just said it looked "worn" (without having one in store to compare it to) and went straight to accusing me of fraud is what makes me so incensed. I have never had my character questioned like this. When I asked to speak to another manager, the blonde one did allow the return. This is the first and last purchase I will ever make at this store. I have never been so insulted.
