Dr. Ilahi is not a pleasant person and does not invite confidence. I made an urgent appt with her because I have an adrenal tumor and was planning on having ortho surgery again soon. Apparently that's not a good idea when you have a tumor that overproduces hormones. I made Dr. Ihali aware of this future plan and she was so unhelpful. She literally shrugged her shoulders and said, "Well, you tolerated three surgeries last year." And she was just snotty from the moment she walked into the exam room. I let her order tests because I needed quick results as I was flying to another state for an appt with an ortho surgeon the following week.
Awful experience none of my questions were answered and Dr. Ilahi was so rude I didn't even bother asking anymore.
My results with Ilahi were posted in MyChart within days and I did not receive a call. I figured no news is good news so I went ahead with my trip. As I was in the ortho doc's office waiting to go in for a procedure, I get an email from MyChart with more results showing elevated cortisol. Those results had apparently been in for days, but just popped up for me to see that day. I called Ilahi's office and left a message explaining where I was and what I was about to have done and that I needed to know if it would be dangerous. They never called me back. I waited for four hours. Then I showed the ortho doc and radiologist the results and they said it would be too dangerous. So I wasted a trip. When I called Ilahi's office again and was quite upset, they showed no concern at all. They just agreed to fax my records to UNMC if I provided a fax number. No apology, no offer to explain my results, nothing. A PCP in this other state told me I should never had had any unnecessary surgeries or procedures, particularly involving steroids, and that the tumor needs to be handled immediately. I'm hoping to God UNMC is better.
