I had the rice and chicken, he had some kind of beef, and we split an order of hummus with some toasted pita. I didn't try his meal, but my chicken was. Juicy and flavorful. The hummus was incredible, although I do wish it came with more veggies on the side for dipping. The owner was personable and friendly, he personally waited on our table and was prompt with everything we needed. My spouse and I will definitely be back for a weekly lunch date! :)
I've been to several kabob places in the metro area and this was the most disappointing. I hope you like dry rice and a lot of it. Meat was dry. You had to ask for sauces...which isn't too bad if you know what you like, but for those who've never been to a place like this, they wouldn't know. The vegetables were normal broccoli, cauliflower and carrots...stuff I would steam at home. I was expecting a small salad portion to go with it. They're salads sold separately weren't bad, but the wait is killer and the a/c isn't controlled very well. Some places in it are ice cold while others were warm. I'll try it in a few months to see if it gets better...
Authentic Mediterranean food. If you like Lebanese, Greek, or Yemeni food, this is the place for you. Everything is made to order and from the attention to detail to the friendly service, you will not be disappointed. It's family run.
Food is very authentic, all fresh everyday, tasty. BUT very high prices. $40 for two meals. No atmosphere at all. Played rock music while we ate. Plus there was no heat in there and food got cold very quickly. Had to eat with our coats on. Very nice staff, though. By the way..Ya hala means "Welcome."
Excellent food, friendly staff, and fast service. I've visited many times, and have tried different items each visit. The food is SO flavorful, and I've never had anything close to a bad experience. If you love Mediterranean food or you just want to try something different, give it a try! (And then recommend it to family and friends.)
My husband and I love middle eastern food and regularly seek out its comforts. We were excited when we realized that a new place had opened just a five minute drive from our home. We went there today for a late lunch and will definitely be back.
